I don’t think I’ve found any other place with quite as many background options!
Old Petrie Town is a small historic town- from old houses, fire stations, old train tracks and textured walls, all the way to fields with wooden fences and giant trees. This place has it all.
All photography on site requires a permit (which I have), as such it is generally extremely quiet, so ideal for the shy dog. However, as it is a popular wedding location, not all dates are available for booking.

A little slice of country only 25 minutes from the city.
It does involve a 30 minute walk to the Secret Forest area past all the beautiful country fences, but it is a gentle and flat walk. However due to the distance, it may not be suited to elderly dogs. Can be GREAT for silhouettes.

One of the most versatile locations within a short drive of the Brisbane City. We are able to get a wide variety of shots from urban and grungy brick walls and sculptures, to parklands and hidden areas with large tree roots.
July see's amazing orange flowers, late October/ November leaves the park blossoming with purple Jacaranda trees, December is full of the red blooms of Poinciana trees whilst the roses during Spring and early Summer make perfect backgrounds.
It is suitable for most dogs, however it can be busy so social dogs and those with a decent level of obedience will result in a wider range of shots. Because it is busy, it is more suitable for midweek sessions than weekends, however it is always available.

Another great Brisbane photography location extremely close to the city. We are able to get semi-urban style shots, parkland and greenery, sculptures, sandstone walls and city skylines overlooking Brisbane river.
It is suitable for social dogs, and those with a decent level of obedience will result in a wider range of shots. Very nervous dogs may be overwhelmed in this location. More suited to midweek sessions than weekends.

This is one of my favourite locations, and well worth the travel. Fields bordered by incredible pine forests and an amazing lake. Dogs are allowed off leash in the lake area, allowing those water babies to truly shine! There is plenty of possible variety and amazing colour coming from the pine forest floor.
Other dogs and sports fields can make this park busy, so may not be suited to dogs who get overwhelmed in public spaces. Best suited to weekday sessions for this reason.

From the driftwood studded shores and the sandy dunes to the waves itself. Bribie island is an excellent location for the active dog and those water babies!
As it is westward facing, we can usually capture pretty spectacular sunsets and silhouettes.

The shorncliffe pier area makes for an excellent trip out as we meander across the shorefront exploring grassy areas, parks, beaches and of course the jetty itself. The jetty allows for stunning silhouettes at sunset, as well as light and airy photos with a beachy feel. There is an area the dogs can run on-lead on the beach, and those keen on swimming would be quite at home.
This location can be busy, so midweek sessions are preferable.

Endless sand, room to run and waves.
With the Gold Coast skyline, jetty and sand dunes there is no shortage of beautiful backgrounds to work with.
This location is an off-lead dog park and can be very busy on weekends, so is best suited to midweek sessions.

A gorgeous garden location with rows of mature trees, small sections of eucalyptus, wide open fields and even a tiny section of beach for some water play shots.
The beach area is a dog off-leash area, so is not suited to dogs who aren't dog friendly.

Queen's park and gardens in Toowoomba has very quickly cemented itself into one of my favourite shoot locations. In autumn there is stunning fall foliage, and spring is home to the festival of flowers and boundless colour.
The park is manicured year round and makes a great option for your shoot.
