After a couple of dusty, sun-drenched years in Mount Isa - keeping Tails of Time afloat with fly-in-fly out sessions, I’m so excited to say we’re officially back in Brisbane! It feels good to be home—back in the leafy parks, breezy bayside spots, and dog-filled trails that first inspired Tails of Time Pet Photography.
So, what’s new? Quite a bit actually! Let me catch you up. 📍 From Mount Isa to Brisbane (with a Baby on the Way!)
In 2022, my partner and I packed up and moved to Mount Isa for a new adventure— pets in tow. While I loved my time there, and Tails of Time was kept afloat from afar, I very much missed the flexibility of those last minute sessions to help capture memories after unexpected news. Now, we’re back in the city (with slightly less red dirt and dust), and will have a lot more availability for session dates. HOWEVER, we’re also preparing for a whole new kind of adventure: we’re expecting our first child this August! This is our first non-furry addition to the crew. A family member asked me how I’ll cope because he won’t have four legs. I joked that he’ll crawl for a while to ease the transition!

📸 Pet Photography is Back—Yes, I’m still photographing pets!
Sessions are still open for booking, however I’ll be taking a short break from shooting while I finish baking this bub (it's hard to get dog level when your stomach gets in the way!) and we then adjust to newborn life. If all goes well, I’ll be back with the camera in hand from Mid-September onwards.
💜 Already thinking ahead to Jacaranda season? So am I.
Brisbane’s most magical, purple-hued time of year is the perfect backdrop for vibrant dog portraits or dreamy horse sessions—and I’m now booking those for October and November.

🐾 New (and Returning) Sessions
Whether you're a long-time client or we haven’t met yet, here’s what you can expect now that I’m back:
On-location dog photography in Brisbane parks, forests, beaches & bush trails
In-home cat sessions for comfort-loving felines
Equine photography at your paddock or property
Fine art wall art, albums and keepsakes to showcase the love, sunshine and adventure of a life filled with fur.
A renewed focus on creating relaxed, connection-focused sessions to celebrate the love, sunshine and adventure of a life filled with fur.
🗓 Let’s Book Ahead
Even while I’m on a short maternity break, I’ll still be periodically replying to emails and helping you plan your session. So if you’re dreaming of updated portraits, a custom wall art piece, or an heirloom album to honour your pet, now’s a great time to reach out and get on the calendar for late 2025.

🎉 Thank You, Brisbane
It means the world to be back doing what I love in the city that first shaped this little business. I’m so excited to reconnect with past clients, meet new furry faces, and keep telling your pet’s story—one tail wag, head tilt, or whisker twitch at a time.
Whether you’re keen for a session under the Jacarandas or just want to chat about what kind of shoot would suit your pet best, I’d love to hear from you.
Let’s make some magic. — Gabrielle
