You may recall seeing a bit of Charlie. I had a session with him earlier in the year and shared one of his images then. He was one of the dogs who came and met me at the Redlands DogFest! This was the image you may have seen earlier in the year.
Charlie's owner really wanted some nice photos of him now that he is 11 years old. He is a black dog, so she has had little luck getting any good photos where she can see his eyes. I was up for the challenge! The day of our session arrived. It had been drizzling all afternoon and was a bit miserable and grey at home. I rang Charlie's owner to see what she wanted to do, and whether she wanted to postpone our session (knowing full well that Charlie had been sent off to the groomers to get prettied up for his photoshoot) only to be told that not only was it not raining at her house, but it was perfectly sunny! So off I went to Charlie's house, only to get there and have it start to drizzle. The rain had followed me there. So we sat and had a cup of tea, and waited for it to pass. Thankfully it did, and I got to join Charlie and his owner, Christina, on their usual evening walk as the sun only slightly reappeared from behind the clouds. This is their favourite park, one they have visited daily ever since Charlie was rescued, so seemed to be the perfect place for a photoshoot.
So Charlie's resulting images are not quite as bright as my usual shoots, but he rocked it, and the clouds really add to his dramatic flair! Let me know what you think in the comments below.
This piece became a canvas, and was absolutely breathtaking!
